ocr: The Million Dollar Band The band was organized in the Spring of 1913-1914 academic school year. It grew out of the interests of a small nucleus of student musicians on the campus who had played in the band when in high school. It is interesting to look at the ways the students went about forming the first band. For several years there had been a growing desire on the part of a group of students to have a band at the University.
